02 Feb 10 AT&T Makes Better Offer for Google Nexus One Buyers

3G connectivity seems to be the main issue when you buy a Google Nexus One with T-Mobile. But now that AT&T has entered the picture, it looks like that this will not be a problem. 20 Jan 10 Experiencing 3G problems on your Nexus One? Here’s a fix

The folks over at jkOnTheRun stumbled onto this simple fix for 3G issues on your Nexus One, in case you were having any. Of course, T-Mobile’s 3G network itself is sporadic to begin with, but if you had issues even in areas that had 3G connectivity, then you might want to make a simple change to your network settings.

Kevin writes:

In “Settings,” I went to “Wireless & networks.” Look for the “Mobile Networks” option at the bottom of this listing. The next screen has a “Network Operators” section — tap it. Your Nexus One will search for compatible GSM networks in the area. Once it’s complete, you’ll see the choices, which will consist of T-Mobile and/or AT&T. You’ll also see a choice to Select Automatically — tap it and your phone should say “Registered on network.” That’s it. That’s all I did and I immediately saw the phone jump from EDGE to T-Mobile’s fast 3G network.

It’s as simple as that. Try it out and let us know in the comments if it worked.
