The latest protagonists for patent rights presents two biggies. These are Oracle and Google. The former has sued the latter for patent infringements involving the use of Java for the Android OS.
Oracle is claiming that Google infringed on Sun’s patents and trademarks, including the use of code and documentation. The claim, which also seeks monetary damages, has asked the court to stop Google from further infringement.
If you still haven’t heard, Google is supposed to hold a special mobile event today. And apparently the waiting is over and among the new enhancements coming the way of Android users would be the voice actions feature.
Voice Actions are a series of spoken commands that, literally, let you control your phone. However, these new features will only work with the Android 2.2 (FroYo). So at least for now, this only covers the HTC EVO 4G, original Motorola Droid, the Droid 2, and the Nexus One.
