Best Buy is reportedly stopping all pre-orders for the Droid X, apparently because demand has overshot their supply or at least what they were expecting. This comes after 5 days of pre-sales for this Android handset that features a 4.3″ display and an 8MP camera eh?
Well, for the people who haven’t placed pre-orders, you just have to wait in line. With so much demand, the best you can do for now is wait for the next batch or maybe look for another handset like the Droid Incredible perhaps?

Despite the recent release of the Android 2.1, the Droid Eris seems to be a thing of the past. This is the scenario after reports have it that Verizon has shelved the said phone and is no longer online.
The Droid Eris is basically a tweaked Hero, and would have been a good deal for $50 on a contract. But with the impending release of the Droid X and Droid 2, the Droid Eris may yet be overshadowed and perhaps slowly killed with the influx of new Droid handsets.
