11 Aug 10 HTC Desire Launching on August 27
The Android-powered HTC Desire will be officially launched on August 27 by US Cellular. The HTC Desire ranks alongside the HTC Incredible and the Nexus One in the Android world and is an impressive score for the nation’s #6 wireless carrier.
The Desire was originally announced in February for the UK and is, more or less, a Nexus One clone with SenseUI overlaying Android 2.1 .

10 Aug 10 HTC Desire Receiving FroYo Update Very Soon
The HTC Desire from Vodafone will finally receive the much awaited FroYo update in the next 7 to 10 days. This comes in the light of reports that Vodafone recently pushed their Vodafone 360 update which filled the devices with 360-branded apps that many are unsatisfied with.
With the new Android 2.2 update, those unwanted 360 apps will be eliminated. Vodafone is shooting for their announced time frame, that is if they can get the final testing done in time.

30 Jul 10 European HTC Desire Receiving OTA Update This Weekend
The unlocked HTC Desire will finally be getting the Android 2.2 update this weekend via OTA. The new update is said to come with features that concern 720p video recording, iTunes syncing, the AppShare widget and a Smart CallerID.
The said OTA update will not delete any existing data.

HTC will start to roll out Froyo for more HTC handsets after HTC Benelux director Mark Moons shared via Twitter that the Android 2.2 will be soon out for the HTC Desire. After the HTC Desire, a Froyo update will also land for the HTC Wildfire and the HTC Legend, three new devices pegged to get the much covered Froyo.
This is the latest Froyo rumor to hit and compared to the latest Froyo rumor to hit three Verizon devices, should we be surprised?

HTC continues to spread like crazy, aiming to cover a larger area of scope for consumers to use their mobile phones. This time, they are invading China, offering new branded handsets for the Chinese community.
China users will be able to purchase the HTC Desire, HTC Wildfire, HTC Tianxi, and the HTC Tianyi. The HTC Tianxi looks like an evolved HTC HD2 and the HTC Tianyi looks like every popular HTC device morphed into one. HTC will also partner with China Mobile to make sure that they cover the China market more efficiently.

It seems that all roads lead to Bell Canada for the HTC Wildfire. The budget device from HTC seems to be headed in that direction after the HTC Desire came to Telus. The HTC Wildfire is a sleek device similar to the HTC Desire and Google Nexus One.
Among its features include HTC Sense UI, running on Android 2.1, a 3.2” capacitive touch screen, and a 5MP camera.

15 Jul 10 SLCD HTC Desire Coming Soon to Telus
Initially coming out in North America, the HTC Desire is now headed to Telus. This version will carry the 3.7″ Sony Super LCD Screen rather than the AMOLED display due to the said shortage we have been hearing about.
Other than that, the phone is the same Android 2.1-powered, Snapdragon-based, Sense-skinned device.

05 Jul 10 HTC Vision QWERTY Android Phone Leaked
Some shots of a supposedly new HTC handset with QWERTY keyboard has been revealed and is believed to be the HTC Vision. It looks more like an HTC Desire with a slide-out keyboard and among the features of the rumored phone include a 3.7” touch screen, a 1 GHz processor, 1.2GB onboard storage and HTC Sense UI.
No word yet on pricing and availability but hopefully this phone would materialize in the near future.

29 Jun 10 Android 2.2 Froyo Coming to Other HTC Handsets by Third Quarter
While some of the Android handsets have already gotten the Android 2.2 update (including issues), the Android 2.2 version for other HTC handsets like the HTC Desire, Legend and Wildfire will reportedly be getting theirs by the third quarter of this year.
Nothing specific on what the updates do carry but you can expect that among them include issues that you are hearing right now like reception and possibly some Flash issues.

An alternative version of the HTC Desire is set to debut this week in the UK, providing British mobile phone users options when purchasing the said HTC smartphone. This new version will be offered by eXpansys for £449.99.
It seems thought that this variant will be limited. They will be available for shipping in two days but are not expected to last long. Among the features of the silver HTC Desire include an Android 2.1 OS, Sense UI, Wi-Fi, GPS, Google Maps with free navigation, a 1GH Snapdragon processor and a 5MP autofocus camera.
