Android handsets including the Google Nexus One, may experience some problems soon, especially the new ones expected to hit the market. Apparently the AMOLED production from Samsung and LG continue to be a problem, something that has yet to be resolved.
With over 160,000 handsets being activated a day, the point where AMOLED displays start to become scarce may whittle down those numbers. There’s a big demand for these AMOLED screens though but only Samsung and LG Electronics can supply these types of screens in high numbers.
The Google Nexus One may be among the phones expected to modify their OLED displays and perhaps turn to LCD in light of the supply issues with Samsung. A report on KT, the Korean network, stated that HTC was about to make the switch from Samsung’s OLED screens to Sony’s Super TFT LCD.

It looks like the carriers are coming up with various names to add to the Samsung Galaxy S to differ them from one another. AT&T calls the Samsung Galaxy S as “Captivate” and now T-Mobile comes up with its own moniker “Vibrant“.
All in the same, these are the same handsets but with different carriers. Though unconfirmed, the bottom line is that the phone’s behind the name are one and true, features included!
