Sprint will start taking in pre-orders for the Samsung Epic 4G starting today. Although the current page shows just the option to sign up and receive email updates, the pre-order button is expected to be out soon.
Reservations for the Samsung Epic 4G are rumored to be on the 17th although it cannot be confirmed if the said phone will be out by the 18th of August. Whether the Epic 4G will manage to outsell the HTC EVO 4G remains to be seen. In any case, it’s a very compelling offering, and clearly one of the top two smartphones if Sprint is the carrier of your choice.

Sprint seems to be in some sort of trouble for the HTC EVO 4G as they are reporting depleted inventories. Apparently this has resulted in an unexpected rise in demand which should be good news in some way.
But the main agenda right now is how to resolve the continuously depleting lineup, something potential HTC EVO 4G wishers are being deprived off. Hopefully Sprint comes up with a solution soon.

It seems that Google is giving up in a way on the Google Nexus One after announcing that the Google Phone will no longer be available online. After being ditched by Verizon and Spring, the Google Nexus One will still be available via other retail stores meaning Google has simply downsized its distribution arms.
The Google Nexus One marketing strategy and the phone issues have contributed largely towards this downfall and as any business mind would consider, cutting down costs for a not so impressive product’s performance is only understandable. Thus, Google wants to bring the Nexus One to more retail stores globally, and “stop selling handsets via the web store”, once it “has increased the availability in stores.”

For the Google Nexus One onlookers, you can now get the much hyped Google phone over at Sprint. This means that you don’t have to limit yourself on getting the Nexus One from AT&T only. However, you cannot directly purchase it from Sprint stores. You have to purchase them from Google.com/phone. No word on how much they would cost nor date of availability for now.
