12 Jan 10 Get the Full Unlocked Unsubsidized Google Phone Instead!

It always pays to pay the whole price in the end. This is the case for the Google Nexus One which seems to be encountering a lot of problems lately. And while many mobile phone addicts have opted to get the $179 plan with T-Mobile, getting out of the contract seems to be more costly than shelling out the original $529.

If you add the equipment recovery fee to the subsidized price ($350+$179) you will notice that you practically get the amount for a full unsubsidized version. But since you are tied up with the carrier, you have to settle the termination fees as well. In the end, you may be paying more than saving! This is one of those times when it pays NOT to be a cheapskate!
